Home
An area of town where homeless hang out. A piece called `Home` cos home is where the heart is. Welded metal frame with three potato prints of hearts.

Money Tree - BBC
Money Tree – An object symbolising disgust and anger at waste and greed.
Over the last few months we have learned a lot about how licence fees are spent by the venerable BBC. The obscene fees for over-rated performers, the obnoxious and consistent greed of executives when filling in expences claims. I wanted to say something about this and created `Money Tree`, which has been fixed to the wall of BBC Manchester over the weekend. Welded mild steel, conctrete, resin and a Five-pound note. It represents the fruitfulness of the upper branches compared to the bareness of the lower levels. Concrete `notes` scattered around the base are the wasted fruit which are not used for constructive program making.

Fished at Stoke Gallery
"This is a challenging exhibition and some content is of an adult nature."
So says the blurb for the exhibition of works by Banksy et al. Well, I don`t think so, none of this was edgey or challenging. Where is the spark and fire of these guys? Putting this work on the white, safe, gallery wall has diluted it to mere marks on paper. No social context or bite.
The gallery has been `fished`.

Artist Statement
The gallery is confinement, a prison for art. Let it out on the streets, let art growl and be in your face. Let art devour the narrow minded. Fish has a history of placing sculpture in rural and urban space. This blog is a record of a new thread, a new campaign in the war against the boring and mediocre. So, let it be.
